Configuring map features for OPAS track display
Who is this article for?
Users managing segments data.
Access to the segments browser is required.
The Map Features panel supports OPAS for static track display and replay, allowing you to configure how track segments are displayed and coloured on the map.
1. Enabling browser linking for full OPAS support
For full OPAS Map Feature support, you must enable Browser Linking between the browsers. If this toggle is not enabled, only single segments will be coloured.
2. Accessing the Tracks tab
The Tracks tab allows you to configure segment colouring for tracks, which will override the primary Track Colour setting.
3. Configuring operational segment colours
You can choose from two options for Oper Segment Colour:
By Excess
This option colours each operational segment from green through to amber then red based on whether the section length in time exceeded user-defined thresholds. The map legend will reflect this setting.
Note: A later section in this manual will demonstrate how to set the threshold settings.
By name
This option colours the segments by segment name. For best functionality, it is recommended that browser linking is enabled. The map legend will reflect the setting:
Note: On Stand, Stationary and Taxi phases are the same for both arrivals and departures.
4. Viewing auto-generated segments
The Show Segments toggle allows you to view segments that have been auto-generated by the system. These sections will appear as yellow to highlight sections where OPAS was unable to attain radar points and generated a section joining the parts that did have radar tracks.
This functionality exists as a dropdown menu for future enhancements if there is a need to identify different types of segments.
